Here is my quilt in the Seaway Trail Quilt Show this past weekend, second from the left. It is the first quilt I have made. Not elaborate, or very creative, but I got it in before the deadline. So now I can try to do something better. There were 217 of these "Cot to Coffin" quilts in the show. Some were fantastic!
What is done with the quilts after the show?..
ReplyDeleteYours looks quite beautiful to me!
ReplyDeleteQuilting is alot of work so I have heard. It looks beautiful and you should be so proud of your accomplishment.
ReplyDeleteAfter the show: Teresa had the idea that the quilt could be laid over the foot of the bed, like the decorative cloth that is in a lot of hotel rooms lately. That is where mine is. Seaway Trail is going to pull out a few, (20?, 50? I don't know) to be a traveling exhibit, for the anniversary year, 2012,to be shown at festivals and recreations along the St. Lawrence and Great Lakes.
ReplyDeleteVery cool, I love to quilt, but don't seem to have the time anymore, someday.
ReplyDeleteI like your quilt, one of the hardest parts is picking out the colors..Didn't you say you used old fabrics?..
ReplyDeleteI used fabrics that I had at home or that people had donated to the church.l
