Made It, Entered It, Goal Achieved

Here is my quilt in the Seaway Trail Quilt Show this past weekend, second from the left. It is the first quilt I have made. Not elaborate, or very creative, but I got it in before the deadline. So now I can try to do something better. There were 217 of these "Cot to Coffin" quilts in the show. Some were fantastic!

  4. After the show: Teresa had the idea that the quilt could be laid over the foot of the bed, like the decorative cloth that is in a lot of hotel rooms lately. That is where mine is. Seaway Trail is going to pull out a few, (20?, 50? I don't know) to be a traveling exhibit, for the anniversary year, 2012,to be shown at festivals and recreations along the St. Lawrence and Great Lakes.

  6. I like your quilt, one of the hardest parts is picking out the colors..Didn't you say you used old fabrics?..
