Handwriting

This is just four of my mom's recipe cards. I cherish them. It always brings tears to my eyes when I look at them. I'm not sure if its the memories or that I can't bake like her! I don't often let them out of my possession. They were hand carried to NC once and back as a recipe book was made by my niece in law for her mother in law's (my sister) birthday. Very sweet gesture.

  4. I think I have had all of these cookies of hers. Wasn't I called the Cookie Monster by her? That explains a lot! hahaha! But whenever I see or eat a molasses cookie, I think of her. I remember climbing up on the counter and digging my hand right in the cookie jar like it was yesterday!

  5. Yes, Karyn I do remember your grandmother calling you the cookie monster. I haven't made my mother's molasses cookies since she passed, isn't that odd? Maybe someday soon. I still have her cookie jar also even though the wooden top broke. I am a pack rat.
